London Farringdon Bar Cafe

When this 80 bedroom hotel was originally built, conference and meeting room facilities made up the major part of the ground floor. Travelodge saw an opportunity to refurbish these areas to provide a bar café that would give their customers a welcoming and stylish area to relax in, without having to leave the hotel.   

With the hotel required to stay live and fully functioning during the refurbishment, Travelodge needed a contractor who would be able to undertake the work in the quickest possible time, whilst causing minimum disruption to both hotel clients and operating staff present on site.

Following a complete strip out of the areas to be refurbished G&H set to work to create a brand new bar café. Working from architects’ concept drawings, G&H value engineered a complete solution based on the Travelodge 2004 Design Standard to the client’s available budget. Much of the work including the bar servery, room screens and seating were produced as bespoke items by G&H’s own in-house joinery.

The hotel successfully stayed open throughout the project, which was completed on time and within the set budget. As a result Travelodge are now adding to their revenues by keeping their customers relaxed, happy and spending money in the hotel.
