Aqua Sana at Center Parcs

Aqua Sana at Center Parcs

Value: £2 million

Client: Center Parcs Ltd.

When Center Parcs wished to refurbish and extend their Aqua Sana leisure suite and Spa at Longleat, they wanted to create a facility with a real WOW factor and to have it ready in time for the all important spring trading period.

An express condition of the contract was that the Aqua Sana facility had to remain open and functioning during the building works. G&H with a successful pedigree of undertaking intensive refurbishment work on ‘live’ sites in the hospitality sector, were able to give Center Parcs the assurance they needed and were awarded the contract.

To facilitate visitor access to the leisure suite during the works, G&H first created a five metre pedestrian tunnel to the original reception area. Services were re-directed to provide building space for the extension. And six, two section open trusses, each with a 15 meters span, were craned into position to avoid damaging trees surrounding the site.

Inside the building G&H’s own specialist joinery team created a stunning entrance area and a series of luxurious treatment rooms, often working overnight so that rooms were always available for visitors during the day-time. Throughout the whole project G&H managed site traffic through a specially opened rear gate, to assure the safety of families and children visiting the complex.

The Aqua Sana suite and spa was successfully kept open throughout the works and completed in time for the planned spring launch.
